Location: Remote or Hybrid
Position Overview:
Our client, one of the top tier insurance carriers, is looking to bring on an experienced Professional Liability Claims Manager to the team. This role will be responsible for directly handling professional liability claims and participating in key mediations. The ideal candidate will have experience handling architects/engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Review insureds' materials, pleadings, and jurisdictional laws to assess coverage, liability, damages, and risk transfer issues.
- Create and implement resolution and coverage strategies aligned with broader case goals, including reserve recommendations and cost mitigation.
- Retain and guide coverage and defense counsel as needed; review legal opinions to support strategic decisions.
- Communicate developments and outcomes to underwriters, brokers, business leaders, and counsel.
- Track claims activity, update reserves promptly, and deliver written and oral reports to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree, JD preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in handling Architects & Engineers claims.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
