Portfolio Manager
Position Summary
This role is responsible for overseeing the post-closing management of a commercial mortgage loan portfolio, ensuring high-quality servicing, reporting, and performance tracking. The position supports institutional clients by maintaining compliance with internal standards and broader industry practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement strategies for effective portfolio management, servicing, and reporting of commercial mortgage loan (CML) portfolios.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports in accordance with internal protocols and client agreements.
- Lead ongoing surveillance and re-underwriting efforts to ensure timely and accurate portfolio assessments.
- Evaluate servicing requests and deliver clear, well-supported recommendations.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators to assess asset class performance and value contribution.
- Coordinate responses to internal and external audit inquiries, including preparation of necessary documentation.
- Foster strong working relationships with clients, service providers, and third-party vendors.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support portfolio operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial real estate lending, servicing, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of real estate finance, investment principles, legal frameworks, and economic factors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Argus, and other business software.
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and transactions simultaneously.
