About the Opportunity
We're representing a leading Investment Bank in their search to hire a 1st-year Director to their Business Services group in Chicago. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned M&A professional looking to step into a leadership position within a dynamic and growing platform.
The successful candidate will play a key role in originating and executing M&A transactions across the residential, facility, and commercial services sectors. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a collaborative and entrepreneurial team with deep sector expertise and a robust deal pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of M&A transactions from pitch to close, including financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and client communications.
- Support senior leadership in business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities and managing client relationships.
- Mentor and manage junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Develop and maintain deep industry knowledge and relationships within the business services vertical.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless transaction execution.
Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in investment banking, with a strong focus on M&A.
- Prior experience covering or executing deals in the business services sector is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead deal teams and manage client relationships.
- Strong technical skills in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree is a plus.
