About the Role

Are you passionate about driving change in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment? We are partnering with a leading chemical manufacturing company-a global player in high-performance materials-to find a talented Internal Control Specialist to join their Finance team in Limburg.

As an Internal Control Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the company's Internal Control Framework. You'll work closely with the Risk Manager and other finance professionals to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and protect the integrity of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain a robust Internal Control Framework across business units and functions.
  • Coach internal stakeholders on control execution and compliance best practices.
  • Monitor timely execution of controls and ensure proper documentation and audit readiness.
  • Maintain and improve internal control tools (currently IRIS, transitioning to SAP GRC).
  • Deliver training and update materials for internal control systems and processes.
  • Conduct Segregation of Duties (SOD) analysis and support mitigation strategies.
  • Identify and escalate critical issues or changes that impact internal controls.

👤 What You Bring:

  • Master's degree in Finance, Controlling, or Accounting.
  • Experience in an industrial and international environment, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls across core business processes.
  • Proficiency in SAP ERP and SAP GRC systems.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to manage complex scenarios and deadlines.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic, evolving environment.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
