Our client, a leading alternative investment manager with a strong performance track record, is seeking an experienced Director‑level sales professional to support ongoing asset‑raising initiatives. The firm has established a robust presence in global markets and is expanding its distribution capabilities to capitalise on increased investor demand.

This is a high‑impact role for a proven fundraiser who can leverage existing relationships, develop new channels, and drive capital formation across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate and manage relationships with institutional investors, including pension funds, insurers, endowments, foundations, and family offices.
  • Lead capital‑raising initiatives for the firm's flagship strategies and future fund launches.
  • Develop and execute a targeted distribution plan across the UK and broader European markets.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership, investor relations, portfolio managers, and product specialists to deliver a cohesive fundraising effort.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the firm's investment strategies, performance drivers, and competitive positioning.
  • Represent the firm in meetings, conferences, and other client‑facing events.
  • Provide structured feedback to internal teams on investor sentiment, market trends, and competitive dynamics.

Candidate Profile

  • 7-15+ years of relevant experience in institutional sales within alternatives (hedge funds preferred).
  • Strong track record of raising assets or advancing institutional pipeline activity.
  • Established network across European institutional allocators, with a particular emphasis on UK, DACH, Benelux, and Nordic markets.
  • Deep understanding of hedge fund strategies, especially event‑driven, credit, or multi‑strategy offerings.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts clearly.
  • Entrepreneurial, collaborative, and comfortable operating in a lean, high‑performance environment.
  • Highly disciplined relationship‑builder capable of strategic long‑term engagement with sophisticated investors.
