Director - Relationship Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of large corporates, GLCs, and MNCs.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to deepen client relationships and drive wallet share.
- Understand clients' business models, industry dynamics, and financial needs to deliver customized banking solutions.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the target client segments across Asia.
- Collaborate with product partners (e.g., transaction banking, treasury, capital markets, syndications) to originate and structure cross-border solutions.
Credit & Risk Management:
- Lead credit analysis, risk assessment, and preparation of credit proposals.
- Monitor portfolio performance, ensure compliance with internal policies, and proactively manage credit risk.
Market & Industry Insight:
- Stay abreast of regional economic trends, regulatory developments, and sector-specific issues impacting clients.
- Provide thought leadership and insights to clients and internal stakeholders.
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Mentor junior bankers and contribute to team development.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across geographies to ensure seamless client delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- Minimum 10-15 years of corporate banking experience, with a strong focus on large corporates, GLCs, and MNCs in Asia.
- Proven track record in managing complex client relationships and delivering multi-product solutions.
- Strong credit analysis, structuring, and negotiation skills.
- Deep understanding of Asian markets, regulatory environments, and cross-border banking practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Attributes:
- Multilingual capabilities (e.g., Mandarin, Bahasa, Japanese, or other Asian languages) are a plus.
- Experience working in a regional or pan-Asian coverage role.
