Debt Financing Operations | Loans & Documentation
We are supporting a global bank in Asia with the hire of an Assosiate into its Global Debt Financing operations function. This role sits within the first line of defence and plays a key role in supporting complex lending activity across the region.
This is not a generic middle office role. The team supports structured and syndicated lending products and works closely with Front Office, Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance, and external counterparties to ensure accurate execution, strong controls, and effective lifecycle management.
Key responsibilities
- Support structured finance, syndicated, bilateral, and revolving credit facilities across the full transaction lifecycle
- Review credit agreements and loan documentation to ensure accurate booking, pricing, and risk reporting
- Manage loan lifecycle events including closings, amendments, waivers, and secondary loan transfers
- Liaise closely with internal stakeholders including Front Office, Credit Risk, Legal, Compliance, Back Office, and global counterparts
- Support secondary loan transfers, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating transfer documentation
- Ensure transactions are executed in line with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Strengthen the control environment by identifying and remediating process and control gaps
- Participate in change initiatives such as system enhancements, regulatory projects, and process improvements
- Support new product initiatives in partnership with the business
Required background
- Experience supporting leveraged or structured lending within a Global Banking, Investment Banking, or Loan Agency environment
- Strong understanding of front to back loan processes, documentation, and lifecycle management
- Exposure to syndicated lending and LMA or LSTA documentation
- Comfortable operating in a control‑focused, first line of defence environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work across multiple functions
- Detail‑oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Candidates from investment banks, global corporate banks, or established loan agency platforms will be considered.
This is an opportunity to join a stable, well‑governed platform where the focus is on execution quality, control, and long‑term platform development rather than deal churn.
