Broker Data & Relationship Management Associate

About the Opportunity

A top‑tier global investment firm is building out a function dedicated to strengthening how the organization engages with the sell‑side research and data ecosystem. This team sits at the center of the firm's information flow - ensuring that research, insights, and data from external brokers are understood, properly integrated, and effectively leveraged by internal teams.

You will work closely with investment professionals, compliance specialists, and external providers to streamline how data and research enter the firm, while making sure partnerships operate smoothly and with clear communication. This is a high‑visibility role with exposure across the firm and a strong pathway for growth.

What You'll Do

  • Act as a primary point of contact between the firm and a network of external brokerage and research providers
  • Support internal teams by communicating the availability, scope, and value of broker-delivered insights and datasets
  • Coordinate intake and setup of new data sources, collaborating with legal, compliance, and technology groups to ensure proper review and integration
  • Monitor ongoing service levels, identify areas for enhancement, and help address day‑to‑day questions or operational issues
  • Maintain clear internal documentation around available external data, access rules, and usage guidelines
  • Contribute to a broader understanding of the sell‑side landscape, including emerging content offerings, product updates, and market developments

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years of:
    • Direct experience with broker research distribution, corporate access scheduling, or broker data feeds (entitlements, channel setup, usage tracking).
    • Work history at a multi‑manager or systematic platform, or direct support of hedge funds from the sell‑side/data‑vendor side.
  • Hands‑on ownership of:

    • Data/vendor onboard (from request through go‑live)

    • Contract coordination (license terms, redistribution, non‑display, seat counts)

    • Entitlements administration / access controls

    • Research distribution workflows / content governance

  • Proven cross‑functional work with Legal and Compliance on data usage/IP or MNPI/IB topics

  • Clear communication skills with both external partners (brokers/vendors) and internal stakeholders (PMs/analysts/tech).

  • Detail rigor: Evidence of low‑error operations (e.g., entitlement audits, contract reconciliations, controlled procedures, or high‑stakes client deliverables) in a fast‑moving environment.

This is an hybrid, NYC based role; Candidates must be local to the NYC metro. area
