Overview:
We are seeking a driven and analytical Associate to join a growing Financial Institutions (FI) Capital Structure & Rating Advisory team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior team members and Relationship Managers to deliver strategic capital structure and rating insights to FI clients globally. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical skills with a client-focused mindset, supporting origination efforts and helping shape funding and balance sheet strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support origination and execution of CSRA mandates for FI clients
- Build financial models and maintain sector/client databases
- Conduct in-depth research on financial institutions, sector trends, and rating methodologies
- Prepare client-facing materials and contribute to strategic advisory discussions
- Maintain internal tools and ensure compliance with governance and regulatory standards
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Credit Markets, Transaction Banking, and Risk
- Engage with external stakeholders such as rating agencies and institutional clients
Candidate Profile:
- Prior experience in CSRA, rating agencies, FI credit risk, or FI coverage roles
- Strong understanding of bank financial statements and regulatory frameworks
- Familiarity with rating agency methodologies and capital structure optimization
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial analysis tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Business/Finance degree; CFA qualification or progress toward it is a plus
- Team-oriented with a proactive and analytical mindset
