A&H Consulting Actuary
We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Accident & Health (A&H) Consulting Actuary to lead complex actuarial projects across a range of A&H products, including short-term medical, long-term disability, critical illness, accident, dental, and vision. In this role, you will be responsible for developing pricing models, conducting IBNR and reserve analyses, preparing pro forma projections, and supporting rate and rule filings. You'll also create benchmarking studies, competitive research, and funding analyses tailored to client needs. A key part of your role will involve preparing clear, professional reports and presenting findings directly to clients, while also managing project timelines and deliverables.
To succeed in this role, you should hold ASA or FSA credentials and have at least 6 years of actuarial experience in the A&H space. You must be proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using actuarial modeling tools. Strong communication skills are essential, as you'll be expected to explain complex actuarial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. You should be highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, and able to work independently while also mentoring junior team members. Experience with Term Life, Credit Life, Travel, or Medicare Advantage is a plus.
