Technical Project Manager
Our client is a leading global quantitative trading firm operating across major financial markets worldwide. The firm is technology‑driven at its core, with a strong focus on building high‑performance, scalable platforms that support sophisticated trading strategies across multiple asset classes.
This role sits within the technology and business support function and is responsible for delivering complex, software‑ and infrastructure‑driven projects that underpin the firm's trading operations. You will work closely with engineering, infrastructure, and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to a high technical standard.
- Own end‑to‑end delivery of technical projects across software, infrastructure, and market connectivity
- Build and manage detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and dependencies
- Identify, track, and mitigate delivery risks; escalate issues where appropriate
- Act as a key liaison between technology teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors
- Gather and document technical and business requirements and translate them into delivery plans
- Coordinate exchange‑driven market changes, including impact analysis and internal/external testing
- Oversee data‑centre‑related activities such as capacity planning, hardware installations, and network configuration planning
- Maintain clear project documentation and regular stakeholder reporting
- 5+ years of project management experience within financial services
- Strong experience delivering software development and infrastructure initiatives
- Good understanding of data centres, servers, storage, and networking concepts
- Exposure to electronic trading environments or market connectivity projects
- Proven ability to manage and influence senior technical and non‑technical stakeholders
- Highly organised, analytical, and comfortable managing multiple workstreams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Knowledge of Asian financial markets or exchange‑driven initiatives
- Experience working with exchanges, brokers, or global technology vendors
- Familiarity with common project management and collaboration tools
- Asia‑Pacific region (e.g. Hong Kong or Singapore)
