DevOps Engineer (Security & Infrastructure) - Trading Firm
A trading firm is seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer to support a security-focused engineering team. This role involves building and operating scalable, secure infrastructure and developer tooling, partnering closely with platform, development, and security teams to embed security into modern workflows without slowing delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain CI/CD and GitOps workflows
- Develop tooling for data and application pipelines
- Integrate security controls into development pipelines (e.g., SAST/DAST)
- Support secrets management platforms (e.g., Vault)
- Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting
- Automate operational and security processes
- Secure and manage Kubernetes/Docker environments
- Assist with incident response and system reliability improvements
Requirements:
- Strong scripting/programming skills
- Experience with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, etc.)
- Kubernetes and containerization experience at scale
- Solid Linux and networking fundamentals
- Familiarity with cloud and hybrid environments
- Understanding of core security principles
Nice to Have:
Policy-as-code, observability tools, or experience in low-latency/trading environments
This is a hybrid role based out of the firms Chicago or Austin office.
