Role Overview and Responsibilities
As a Statistical Reporting Analyst, you will play a key role within the Reporting, Quality & Control team by ensuring timely and accurate reporting of Commercial Lines insurance data to regulatory and industry bodies such as the Independent Statistical Service (ISS), ISO, and various state bureaus. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the full lifecycle of statistical reporting for Commercial Lines, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Collaborating across teams to gather, reconcile, and validate large datasets.
Investigating data issues by performing root cause analyses and suggesting solutions or process improvements.
Executing regular data testing and quality control checks within reporting systems.
Conducting data manipulation and preparing reports in accordance with internal standards and external deadlines.
Supporting the broader Reporting, Quality & Control group with data-related tasks and cross-functional initiatives.
Ensuring service delivery meets internal performance benchmarks and industry service levels.
Occasionally traveling within the U.S. to support reporting or collaboration needs.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will bring a blend of insurance industry experience, technical skill, and a keen eye for data accuracy. A proactive approach and strong communication skills are essential in this collaborative, detail-oriented role.
Key qualifications include:
At least 3 years of experience in the insurance sector, with a specific focus on statistical reporting.
Familiarity with Commercial Lines data reporting and regulatory compliance.
Experience with Workers' Compensation or Financial Data Calls is a plus.
A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on clarity and collaboration.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Basic programming or data analysis skills are advantageous (e.g., SQL, Python, R, DAX, or Power BI).
