Projections Actuary
A growing player in the insurance and reinsurance space, is seeking an Actuarial Associate to join their Corporate Actuarial team. This role is focused on supporting the financial projections function and plays a key part in driving strategic growth across both retail and reinsurance lines of business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and refinement of financial projection models used across the organization.
- Analyze and interpret sources of earnings, providing insights into key performance drivers.
- Assist in quarterly forecasting and enterprise financial planning efforts.
- Enhance existing processes and analytics with a focus on improving controls, consistency, and efficiency.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams in operations, pricing, and finance to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
Qualifications:
- ASA designation or actively pursuing ASA.
- Familiarity with US Statutory, US GAAP, and Bermuda EBS accounting frameworks.
- Strong communication skills- written, verbal, and interpersonal.
- Results-driven with a proactive, independent work style.
- Experience with actuarial modeling tools such as GGY Axis.
- Proficiency in programming or statistical tools like R or Python.
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach.
