Emerging Markets Credit Analyst - Hedge Fund
A global hedge fund is seeking an Emerging Markets Credit Research Analyst to join its discretionary strategies team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex sovereign and corporate credit situations across diverse regions, contributing to high-impact investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth analysis of EM issuers, assessing fundamentals and market dynamics.
- Develop and present trade ideas for portfolio managers, including stressed and distressed opportunities.
- Build and refine bespoke models for special situations and high-conviction trades.
- Track news flow and research publications to stay ahead of market developments.
- Maintain strong relationships with sell-side analysts and syndicate desks.
- Collaborate closely with portfolio managers, quants, and other analysts in internal discussions.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: 2-10 years in credit research or trading, ideally with exposure to emerging markets.
- Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and familiarity with credit instruments (bonds, CDS, loans).
- Attributes: Ability to work under pressure, react quickly to market events, and think independently.
- Bonus: Programming skills and experience with bespoke modeling.
