Actuarial Director

What You'll Do
- Lead monthly reserve and accrual analyses for risk-based healthcare arrangements
- Develop and strengthen reserving methodologies, controls, forecasting and governance processes
- Analyze healthcare cost trends, utilization patterns, and financial performance drivers
- Partner with finance, operations, clinical, and contracting teams to support business decisions
- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives across actuarial workflows
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership
What We're Looking For
- ASA or FSA designation, required
- Significant healthcare actuarial experience with a strong reserving background, 10+ years of experience required
- Deep understanding of medical loss ratio (MLR), healthcare cost trends, and risk-based financial performance
- Experience supporting risk-based reimbursement arrangements and reserve monitoring
- Strong understanding of healthcare cost and utilization analytics
- Advanced analytical and modeling skills (SQL, SAS, R, Python, Excel, or similar)
- Ability to influence stakeholders across finance and operational teams
This role is ideal for a health actuary who wants to move beyond maintaining reserves and play a key role in growing, modernizing, and automating an organization's reserving and trend analytics function.
