About the Role
- A leading global private equity firm is expanding its Hong Kong-based team to further strengthen its investment efforts in Australia and New Zealand. With a strong track record in the region and a conviction in the long-term opportunity set, the firm is seeking an Associate to join its 3-year program.
- This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with experienced investors and management teams across the full investment lifecycle. From sourcing and diligence to portfolio management and exit, within a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth industry and company research to identify and evaluate investment opportunities in Australia and New Zealand.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models and valuation analyses.
- Support all aspects of deal execution, including due diligence, transaction structuring, and preparation of investment committee materials.
- Assist in the ongoing monitoring and strategic development of portfolio companies.
- Engage with management teams, advisors, and co-investors throughout the investment process.
- Collaborate with colleagues across global offices to leverage firm-wide insights and resources.
Qualifications
- 1-5 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, private equity, or a related field.
- Strong academic credentials from a top-tier university.
- Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated interest in private equity and the Australia/New Zealand business landscape.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus but not required.
