A leading specialty insurer is seeking a dynamic, solutions-oriented Underwriter to join its growing Allied Healthcare team. This is a unique opportunity for a professional liability expert or healthcare-focused underwriter to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where innovation and ownership are valued.
What You Will Do
- Underwrite, price, and negotiate new and renewal business in the Allied Healthcare sector
- Tailor policies for a wide range of clients including imaging centers, therapists, home healthcare providers, medi spas, social services, and more
- Offer cross-sold coverages such as Cyber, General Liability, and other Professional Liability products
- Build and deepen broker relationships across the region
- Collaborate with a national team to share insights and drive best practices
- Lead broker engagement initiatives including in-office quoting days and strategic turnarounds
- Monitor portfolio performance and contribute to profitability strategies
- Travel regionally for broker visits and industry events (up to 25 percent)
What You Bring
- Two or more years of experience in Allied Healthcare or professional liability underwriting
- Strong customer focus and a passion for delivering exceptional service
- Proven negotiation and sales skills with a competitive edge
- A collaborative mindset with a drive to share knowledge and support team goals
- Track record of underwriting profitability and sound risk assessment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred
