Senior Managing Actuary
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and refinement of pricing models and rating plans for Private Passenger Auto insurance.
- Oversee actuarial analyses related to loss trends, profitability, and reserve adequacy.
- Provide strategic guidance on product design, segmentation, and market positioning.
- Mentor and manage a team of actuaries and analysts, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal governance standards.
Qualifications
- Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of actuarial experience, with at least 5 years focused on Private Passenger Auto.
- Proven leadership experience in managing actuarial teams and projects.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in actuarial software and programming tools (e.g., SAS, R, Python, SQL).
- Deep understanding of insurance market dynamics, regulatory environment, and competitive landscape.
