Client/Job Summary:
Our client is a transportation investor and manufacturer that is expanding their maintenance business and looking to fill a few roles within their growing accounting department. Managing a large and growing portfolio of assets, this firm plays a major role in the global movement of people and goods through its ownership, leasing, and sale of transportation equipment across aviation and related sectors.
The technical accounting manager role will serve as the company's go-to expert on complex and emerging accounting standards, ensuring financial reporting remains accurate, compliant, and reflective of the business's strategic direction. You'll lead deep technical research on topics such as revenue recognition, leases, consolidations, and investment structures, transforming complex guidance into clear recommendations that inform decision‑making across the company. Your work will shape and refine global accounting policies, strengthen internal controls, and support quarterly and annual reporting and audit coordination. You'll partner closely with teams across Finance, FP&A, Legal, and Operations to evaluate new initiatives, assess accounting impacts, and guide the implementation of new standards.
Key Qualifications:
- 5+ YOE ideally in Big 4 public accounting or technical accounting role
- Strong understanding of GAAP, SEC reporting, and emerging accounting standards
