Senior Associate
An established, institutional real estate investment firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its investment team. The firm invests across multifamily, industrial, and other select assets and is known for executing differentiated, opportunistic investment strategies. Having successfully raised and deployed a handful of funds and with a strong capital base, the firm has an impressive track record and is well-positioned to continue their growth.
This role offers broad, cradle-to-grave exposure across acquisitions, asset management, and development. The Senior Associate will work closely with senior investment professionals in a lean, highly collaborative environment, with meaningful responsibility and long-term growth potential.
The Senior Associate will:
- Evaluate, underwrite, and execute real estate investments across multifamily, industrial, and select other assets
- Build and maintain institutional-quality financial models, including cash flow projections, sensitivities, and return analyses
- Support transaction execution from initial diligence through closing
- Conduct market, asset-level, and partner diligence and synthesize third-party reports
- Assist with preparation of investment memoranda and internal decision-making materials
- Participate in ongoing asset management, including budget reviews, operating performance analysis, and business plan execution
- Support development and value-add initiatives, including monitoring budgets, schedules, and construction progress
- Assist with valuations, refinancings, and disposition processes
- Work closely with operating partners, consultants, lenders, and internal stakeholders across the investment lifecycle
The Senior Associate should possess:
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in real estate private equity, investment banking, institutional investing, development, or a principal investing environment
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with experience underwriting real estate investments
- Solid understanding of real estate valuation, capital structures, and return metrics
- Experience with multifamily and/or industrial assets strongly preferred
- Exposure to development or heavy value-add execution preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present investment analyses clearly
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple workstreams simultaneously
- Professional, collaborative, and comfortable operating in a lean, team-oriented environment
