We are seeking a skilled and proactive Contract & Claim Manager to support complex engineering projects across Germany. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful developments in the energy and infrastructure sectors, with a strong emphasis on HOAI-based contracts and claims management.
Key Responsibilities
- Claims Management & Settlement: Review and process claims related to engineering contracts under HOAI, including negotiation and resolution of disputes arising from performance deviations or cost overruns.
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and adapt contracts in accordance with HOAI and German contract law.
- Fee & Cost Advisory: Provide guidance on HOAI fee structures and support project teams in cost forecasting and control.
- Dispute Resolution: Act as the central point of contact for resolving contractual disputes within the HOAI framework.
- Documentation & Reporting: Ensure complete and accurate documentation for internal and legal purposes.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with project teams, legal advisors, and external partners to ensure contract compliance and smooth project execution.
- Knowledge Sharing: Promote best practices in contract and claims management across project teams.
Your Profile
- Degree in law, business law, construction management, architecture, industrial engineering, or a related field
- Several years of professional experience in contract and/or claims management, ideally with HOAI relevance
- Strong understanding of German contract law, especially HOAI and BGB
- Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Structured, analytical, and detail-oriented working style
- Fluent in German and English (C1 level or higher)
- Team-oriented with a confident and professional demeanor
