A leading investment firm is hiring aexperienced C++ Engineer to join its Market Data technology team in New York. These are VP-level roles within high-impact groups focused on building the firm's core infrastructure for market data and systematic trading-low-latency, high-performance systems that support real-time decision-making across global markets.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-performance C++ applications for market data processing or trading execution
- Optimize systems for low latency, throughput, and reliability
- Collaborate with front office stakeholders to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions
- Contribute to architecture decisions and performance tuning across the stack
- Work in a Linux-based environment with a focus on multithreading and distributed systems
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in modern C++ (ideally C++20)
- Experience with low-latency systems, market data feeds, or trading platforms
- Deep understanding of Linux, multithreading, and performance optimization
- Background in building real-time infrastructure in a trading or financial setting
