Position Overview:
A well-established regional insurance carrier is seeking a Territory Manager to oversee property and casualty marketing activities across the state of Georgia. This role is responsible for agency development, relationship management, and execution of strategic growth initiatives to support profitable business expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and onboard new agency partners, ensuring they are aligned with company standards and objectives.
- Provide ongoing training and support to agencies to help them grow a profitable book of business.
- Execute regional marketing plans and monitor agency performance to ensure production and loss ratio goals are met.
- Build and maintain strong, consultative relationships with agency principals and staff.
- Stay informed on market dynamics, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the territory.
- Act as a field resource for underwriting and marketing teams, offering insights and feedback from agency interactions.
- Lead structured onboarding and performance reviews for newly appointed agencies.
- Represent the company at industry functions, agency meetings, and regional events.
Qualifications:
Required:
- A minimum of three years of experience in commercial property and casualty insurance, with a focus on marketing, underwriting, or agency management.
- Strong working knowledge of commercial lines products, coverages, and market dynamics.
- Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with independent agents and brokers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Must hold a valid driver's license and be comfortable with regular travel, including overnight stays.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or a related field.
- Professional insurance certifications or coursework (e.g., CPCU, CIC, ARM).
- Prior experience working directly with independent agency networks.
- Familiarity with the Georgia insurance market and established agency relationships in the region.
