Support Engineer / Quantitative Developer (L2/L3 Support)

Our client is a leading global quantitative trading firm operating across multiple asset classes, including equities, futures, and foreign exchange. The firm combines advanced research, large-scale data, and cutting-edge technology to drive systematic trading strategies across global markets.

They offer a highly collaborative, tech-driven environment where engineering, research, and trading teams work closely to build and support high-performance systems.

Role Overview:

This role sits within a growing L2/L3 production support team focused on trading and research platforms. You will work closely with portfolio managers, research teams, and execution specialists to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of critical trading systems, while contributing to ongoing development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across trading systems and real-time analytics platforms

  • Monitor system performance and improve observability and operational processes

  • Work closely with trading, research, and engineering teams to address production issues

  • Contribute to development of tools and features in Python and C++

  • Support configuration, deployment, and release management processes

  • Assist with onboarding of new users and systems

  • Identify opportunities to enhance system reliability and performance

Key Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in production support or software engineering

  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++

  • Solid understanding of SQL and data handling

  • Experience supporting trading or other low-latency, high-availability systems

  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and production environments

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Good communication and ability to work with cross-functional teams
