Position Overview
The Associate will be an integral member of the investment team, supporting all aspects of the deal lifecycle-from sourcing and diligence to execution and portfolio management. This role is ideal for candidates with a passion for software, strong analytical skills, and a desire to grow within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify attractive investment opportunities.
- Build and maintain financial models to evaluate potential transactions.
- Support due diligence efforts across product, technology, financial, and operational areas.
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in deal structuring, negotiation, and closing processes.
- Monitor portfolio company performance and support value creation initiatives.
- Develop relationships with founders, executives, bankers, and other industry professionals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; technical background (CS, Engineering) is a plus.
- 1-3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, or management consulting.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Passion for software and technology-driven business models.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
- Willingness to work onsite in Atlanta and travel as needed.
