Senior Network Engineer
One of the world's leading high-frequency trading firms is looking to grow their Infrastructure team, by adding a tenured Network Engineer to their Trading Infrastructure team. The firm is a research-driven organization working on cutting-edge technology and global financial markets. The team is comprised of highly intellectual individuals with backgrounds in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science to push boundaries in technology and financial markets.
They are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join their elite Network Infrastructure Team. This is a rare opportunity to work on one of the highest-performance networks in the industry, alongside some of the brightest minds in the field. You'll be handling their worldwide low-latency network infrastructure, being a pivotal piece in their day to day high-frequency trading.
Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and support our global low-latency network infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot hybrid wireless and wired high-performance environments.
- Use automation and data diagnostics to solve complex issues like micro-bursting, jitter, and queuing.
- Apply DevOps principles to streamline network management and deployment.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of networking experience in large-scale global environments.
- Strong scripting experience (Python preferred).
- Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, switching, routing (BGP, OSPF), and multicast.
- In-depth experience with Cisco, Mellanox, or Arista hardware.
- Familiarity with various automation tools.
- Experience with databases and network monitoring tools.
- Strong Linux capabilities.
- CCIE certification is preferred but not required.
- Prior high-frequency trading experience is highly preferred.
