About the Opportunity
On behalf of a boutique AFM‑licensed audit firm in Amsterdam, we are seeking an experienced and independent Senior Auditor to join a growing practice. The firm delivers high‑quality statutory audits with a personalized, efficient approach supported by a seasoned audit team.
This role suits a Senior Auditor who enjoys a broad, varied portfolio, works well with local clients and handles non‑complex audit engagements confidently and autonomously.
Role Overview
You will lead statutory and group audits for local and international clients, acting as a key audit contact throughout each engagement. Working in a small, experienced team, your independence, judgment, and ownership will directly shape engagement quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end statutory and group audits across a diverse portfolio, including trading and production companies.
- Manage Dutch client engagements requiring strong communication and stakeholder management.
- Deliver non‑complex audits efficiently, ensuring compliance with Dutch GAAP and IFRS where relevant.
- Plan, coordinate, and finalize audit files with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with international teams and coach junior auditors.
- Present audit findings clearly and maintain audit‑ready documentation aligned with regulatory standards.
Candidate Profile
- 4+ years of external audit experience with strong end‑to‑end engagement ownership.
- Skilled in performing non‑complex audits independently.
- Experience with corporate industries more than financial services
- Dutch‑speaking strongly preferred.
- Professional, confident, and comfortable managing demanding stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of Dutch GAAP; IFRS beneficial.
- RA not required (but a plus)
