Company Summary: A large, privately held global organization is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to support enterprise‑wide accounting policy and compliance efforts. This role partners closely with finance leadership, reporting teams, and external advisors to support complex transactions and financial reporting. In addition to its technical focus, this role serves as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders and acts as a primary point of contact for external auditors and third‑party accounting advisors on technical matters. The position also supports process improvement initiatives, helps strengthen internal controls, and contributes to the development and mentoring of junior accounting team members.
Senior Accounting Manager Key Responsibilities
- Lead research and application of U.S. GAAP, international standards, and emerging accounting guidance
- Prepare technical accounting memos and financial statement disclosures
- Advise on complex transactions, new business initiatives, and contracts
- Oversee technical aspects of fixed asset accounting
- Act as a primary liaison with external auditors and accounting consultants
- Drive improvements in accounting processes, controls, and documentation
- Mentor junior team members and collaborate cross‑functionally to meet reporting deadlines
Senior Accounting Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (advanced degree preferred)
- CPA or equivalent required
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong public accounting background highly preferred
