Plant Finance Controller | Tianjin, China | MNC
A leading multinational manufacturing business is looking for an experienced Senior Plant Controller to lead the finance function for its China operation.
Reporting directly to the Global CFO, this is a broad leadership role overseeing accounting, reporting, audit, tax, treasury, compliance, manufacturing finance, and business partnering activities. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial performance, strengthening controls, and supporting operational decision-making across the plant.
What does the role involve?
- Lead all accounting, financial reporting, tax, treasury, audit and compliance activities
- Partner with the Global CFO and local leadership team to drive business performance and strategic decision-making
- Oversee monthly close, statutory reporting and financial controls
- Manage manufacturing finance, cost accounting, inventory valuation and working capital
- Analyse manufacturing variances and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency
- Drive process improvements, ERP optimisation and finance transformation initiatives
- Lead, mentor and develop the local finance team
- Act as a key business partner to local and global stakeholders
What experience do you need?
- Strong background in plant finance, cost accounting and inventory management
- Experience managing audit, tax, treasury and compliance functions
- Proven track record of strengthening controls and improving finance processes
- Experience with ERP systems and finance transformation projects
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent Mandarin and strong English communication skills
- CPA, ACCA, CMA, CICPA or equivalent qualification preferred
- Prior experience within a multinational manufacturing business is highly desirable
