Our client, a prominent consulting firm, is seeking a Pension Actuarial Consultant to support and enhance their pension consulting operations. This critical role is responsible for delivering strategic actuarial solutions to multiemployer benefit plans, guiding clients through valuation processes, compliance, and plan design strategies. The successful candidate will bring a blend of hands-on pension expertise and client-facing consulting skills, particularly within the defined benefit space.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform actuarial valuations for multiemployer pension plans under the guidance of experienced actuaries and consultants.
- Analyze census data, liabilities, and assets to identify trends and support strategic planning and funding decisions.
- Assist with special projects related to emerging retirement and benefit issues.
- Maintain and enhance actuarial valuation models and reports using Microsoft Excel and other software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, or a related field.
- 0-4 years of experience working at an actuarial consulting firm.
- Experience with defined benefit pension plans, particularly multiemployer plans.
- Successful completion of at least one actuarial exam.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with actuarial software (e.g., ProVal) is a plus.
This is a hybrid role based in Atlanta, GA; Pasadena, CA; and Washington, D.C.-candidates must reside locally or be willing to relocate.
