Middle Office Analyst - Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund
Position Overview
We are seeking a Middle Office Analyst to support the firm's trading activities across global markets. The successful candidate will work closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Prime Brokers, Fund Administrators, Custodians, and external counterparties to manage the end-to-end trade lifecycle and maintain the operational integrity of the investment platform.

Key Responsibilities
Trade Lifecycle Management
- Monitor and support daily trading activities across multiple asset classe, including equities (cash/swaps), equity derivatives, bonds, repos, fx spot/forward/option, CDS, IRS, commodities, crypto, etc.
- Ensure accurate trade capture, allocation, confirmation, and settlement.
- Oversee the full trade lifecycle from execution through settlement and maturity.
- Investigate and resolve trade booking discrepancies and exceptions.
Reconciliation & Operational Control
- Perform daily position, cash, trade, and portfolio reconciliations.
- Monitor and investigate operational breaks across multiple systems and counterparties.
- Ensure timely resolution of discrepancies with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain strong operational controls and escalation procedures.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with Portfolio Managers and Trading teams on daily trading activity.
- Liaise with Prime Brokers, Fund Administrators, Custodians, Counterparties, and Technology vendors.
- Coordinate across global counterparties and service providers to resolve operational issues and improve efficiency.
- Support onboarding of new products, brokers, counterparties, and trading workflows.
Process Improvement & Automation
- Drive operational efficiency initiatives across the middle office function.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows and reporting processes.
- Develop and enhance tools using Python, VBA, SQL, or other technologies where appropriate.
- Participate in strategic technology projects and operational infrastructure enhancements.
Risk & Reporting Support
- Assist with daily portfolio and exposure monitoring.
- Support internal reporting requirements and management information preparation.
- Work closely with Finance, Risk, and Operations teams on valuation and exception management processes.
Requirements
- 2-6 years of experience in:
- Hedge Fund Middle Office
- Trade Support
- Fund Operations
- Prime Brokerage Operations
- Product Control
- Investment Operations
- Strong understanding of trade lifecycle events across multiple asset classes.
- Exposure to both listed and OTC products.
- Experience working with Prime Brokers and Fund Administrators.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to operate in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Python, VBA, SQL, or automation experience is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
