Job Title: Managing Director, Capital Formation

Location: Washington, DC

We are currently working with a leading real estate investment firm with a strong track record looking to add a dynamic and experienced Managing Director of Capital Formation to lead their capital raising and investor relations efforts. This executive will play a critical role in expanding our investor base, developing strategic fundraising initiatives, and strengthening relationships with institutional and retail investors.

The Managing Director of Capital Formation will be responsible for:

  • Lead all aspects of capital formation strategy, including fundraising, investor outreach, and relationship management.
  • Develop and execute capital raising campaigns for new and existing real estate funds and investment vehicles.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with institutional investors, family offices, wealth managers, and other capital partners.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align capital formation strategies with firm-wide growth objectives.
  • Represent the firm at industry conferences, investor meetings, and networking events.
  • Oversee the preparation of investor materials, pitch decks, and due diligence documentation.
  • Monitor market trends and investor sentiment to inform fundraising strategies.

The Managing Director of Capital Formation should have:

  • 10+ years of experience in capital formation, investor relations, or fundraising within real estate private equity or investment management.
  • Proven track record of raising capital from institutional and private investors.
  • Deep understanding of real estate investment structures, fund operations, and capital markets.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong network of investor relationships, particularly in the U.S. market.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
