Investor Relations Associate
A leading Private Equity firm in Boston is seeking an Investor Relations Associate to join their Private Markets team. This role will play a critical part in supporting the firm's investment and fundraising efforts through comprehensive diligence, market and fund-level analysis, and the development of high-quality marketing materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for private equity and alternative investments.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Diligence & Analysis
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative due diligence on the firm's funds.
- Analyze fund strategies, track records, team structures, and portfolio construction.
- Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for internal investment committees.
Market & Fund-Level Research
- Perform thematic and sector-specific research to support investment theses and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends, macroeconomic indicators, and competitive landscapes relevant to private markets.
- Maintain and update internal databases with fund performance, benchmarking data, and market intelligence.
Marketing & Fundraising Support
- Develop and maintain marketing materials including pitch decks, investor presentations, and fact sheets.
- Lead the preparation and completion of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs), and other investor-related documentation.
- Collaborate with investor relations and senior leadership to ensure consistency and accuracy of messaging across all materials.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with investment, legal, compliance, and operations teams to gather and verify information for diligence and marketing purposes.
- Support ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or CFA designation a plus.
- 2-5 years of experience in private equity, investment management, consulting, or a related financial services role.
- Strong analytical skills and financial modeling skills are a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools.
- Experience with RFP/DDQ platforms and CRM systems is a plus.
