About the Opportunity
Our client is a well-established financial services organization serving credit unions nationwide. They provide a suite of liquidity, investment, funding, and balance sheet management solutions designed to help credit unions optimize performance and achieve strategic objectives.
The firm is seeking an Investment Officer to join its Brokerage Services team. This individual will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with credit union clients, providing investment guidance, sourcing new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth across a range of fixed income and deposit products.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and expand relationships with assigned credit union clients.
- Identify investment opportunities and deliver market insights, trade ideas, and portfolio solutions.
- Execute fixed income and deposit transactions in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Prospect and onboard new credit union clients to expand market share.
- Market a broad suite of products, including:
- Fixed income securities
- Brokered certificates of deposit
- Subordinated debt issuances
- Loan participation opportunities
- Deposit and funding solutions
- Maintain accurate client activity, pipeline, and opportunity tracking within CRM systems.
- Monitor market conditions and provide investment recommendations tailored to client needs.
- Travel periodically to meet with clients, prospects, and attend industry events.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in fixed income markets, institutional sales, investment services, or financial institution relationship management.
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
- Strong understanding of fixed income products and capital markets.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-starter with a business development mindset.
Preferred
- Experience working with credit unions, banks, or other depository institutions.
- Familiarity with balance sheet management concepts.
- Experience with Salesforce, Bloomberg, or similar financial platforms.
- Ability to engage and present to executive-level decision makers.
