Head of NAM RFP VP
A leading private real assets investment firm is seeking a Vice President to lead its North America RFP function. This individual will oversee a regional team responsible for managing proposal activity that supports capital raising, consultant engagement, and ongoing investor communications. The role requires a combination of leadership, project management, and content expertise, with responsibility for ensuring high-quality submissions are delivered efficiently and aligned with business priorities. The successful candidate will serve as a key partner to investment, distribution, and client-facing teams while helping enhance the overall effectiveness of the proposal process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop the North America RFP team, providing oversight of priorities, capacity planning, and day-to-day execution.
- Oversee the preparation and delivery of RFPs, DDQs, consultant questionnaires, client requests, industry surveys, and database submissions.
- Review and refine proposal content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with firm messaging and investment capabilities.
- Partner with investment professionals, investor relations, client service, and fundraising teams to gather information and develop customized responses.
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex, high-profile, or time-sensitive proposal opportunities.
- Maintain and enhance proposal content repositories and technology platforms to improve efficiency and content quality.
- Foster strong relationships with external vendors and service providers to support the broader proposal management process.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen content governance, and enhance submission quality across the region.
- Monitor deadlines and competing priorities to ensure the team delivers a high standard of work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; CFA, CAIA, IMC, FINRA licenses, or similar professional credentials are a plus.
- 5-10 years of experience in a client-facing role within asset management, alternative investments, or broader financial services.
- At least 5 years of experience supporting RFPs, DDQs, consultant databases, or related proposal management functions.
- Previous experience leading, mentoring, and developing teams.
- Demonstrated success managing third-party vendors and building collaborative working relationships.
- Strong understanding of institutional investment clients and the proposal process; private markets experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with North American regulatory considerations as they relate to investor communications and marketing materials.
- Experience working with RFP technologies, consultant databases, and content management tools.
- Outstanding written communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, persuasive messaging.
- Strong organizational, stakeholder management, and project management capabilities, coupled with exceptional attention to detail.
