Finance Manager

Greater Washington, DC Area (Hybrid)

A leading engineering, construction, and infrastructure organization is seeking a Finance Manager to support financial planning, operational finance, and project-focused business partnering activities across a large and growing business unit. This individual will work closely with senior leadership, project teams, and operational stakeholders to drive forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and strategic decision-making initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
  • Partner with operations and project leadership to provide financial analysis and business insights
  • Monitor project performance, profitability, margins, and key operational metrics
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and variance analyses for senior leadership
  • Support capital planning, cash flow forecasting, and resource allocation decisions
  • Develop financial models to evaluate business opportunities and operational initiatives
  • Drive process improvements and enhance financial reporting capabilities
  • Collaborate with accounting teams on month-end close activities and financial statement accuracy
  • Assist with strategic planning, KPI development, and executive-level presentations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive finance, FP&A, accounting, or project finance experience
  • Experience supporting engineering, construction, infrastructure, manufacturing, government contracting, or project-based organizations preferred
  • Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel and financial reporting experience
  • Proven ability to partner with business leaders and influence decision-making
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
