Job Title: Trade Ops Engineer
Work Model: Chicago based, must relocate if not local. In office.
Compensation: 150-350k TC, dependent on YOE
Summary: A proprietary quant trading firm is looking for a trade ops engineer to manage the live production trading system. You will be responsible for live monitoring and triage of the trading environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a strong analytical focus
- Experience or a keen interest in finance and trading (professional history not required)
- Flexibility with hours to work within a team to provide trading coverage
- Strong problem solving and communication skills
- Experience using Linux operating system
- Experience in software analysis for bug fixing and development
- Low ego, able to work both in a collaborative team setting and autonomously
Responsibilities:
As part of the Trade Operations team, the Trade Operations Engineer will be a key member of a team that is responsible for the live monitoring of trading and associated risk management. This requires an ability to perform under pressure, handle time sensitive triage work with a very low error rate and a strong understanding of the trading system.
In addition to the triage responsibilities, you would be expected to contribute to the configuration of our applications, software deployments as well as writing bug fixes and making smaller scale code updates. This involves working with our complex environment of interdependent processes that run on a global scale.
