Key responsibilities
- Set and deliver the company's strategy, business plan and long-term value creation agenda
- Lead the executive team and build a strong, high-performing leadership culture
- Oversee operations and ensure assets perform safely, reliably and efficiently
- Drive growth through new projects, commercial partnerships and acquisitions where appropriate
- Keep financial discipline, including budgeting, capital allocation and financing strategy
- Build strong relationships with the board, shareholders, lenders, regulators, offtakers and government stakeholders
- Embed high standards of ESG, health and safety, and governance across the business
Candidate profile
- Proven CEO, MD or divisional leadership experience in energy or power (for example renewables, thermal generation, storage, transmission and distribution, or utilities)
- Track record of running asset-heavy businesses with full P&L responsibility
- Experience working with private equity or infrastructure fund owners, or in similarly investor-led governance structures, would be a strong advantage
- Strong commercial and financial skills, including exposure to project finance, M&A and development pipelines
- Experience working in complex, multi-stakeholder and international environments
- Credible, resilient leader who can build teams and deliver change
- Willing to travel extensively
