Position Summary:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a critical role in driving growth by identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. This individual will be responsible for initiating contact with potential clients, understanding their needs, and positioning our client's insurance solutions to meet those needs. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills and a passion for building relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and generate new leads through outbound calls, emails, networking, and social media.
  • Qualify inbound leads and schedule meetings for senior sales representatives.
  • Conduct initial discovery calls to understand client needs and challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and progress in CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to refine messaging and outreach strategies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions.
  • Represent our client at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable with cold outreach and handling objections.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Insurance industry experience is a plus but not required.
