Our client, a global leader in quantitative trading, is looking to expand their Asia presence with the addition of a Business Development Analyst in their Singapore office. This role offers a front-row seat to the world of high-performance automated trading across equities and derivatives markets in Asia.

As a Business Development Analyst, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth of the firm's Asia trading platform. You'll work cross-functionally across trading, technology, operations, and compliance, while also interfacing directly with external partners such as exchanges, brokers, and clearinghouses. This is an ideal opportunity for someone passionate about both trading and technology who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in new technology deployments and support troubleshooting during release cycles

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to streamline workflows and automate operational processes

  • Ensure external market data feeds are accurate; engage with vendors to resolve issues and maintain data quality

  • Oversee the post-trade lifecycle by monitoring execution accuracy and trade booking integrity

  • Identify and mitigate operational or market risks, ensuring smooth and resilient daily operations

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Finance, or a related field

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a trading, operations, or business-facing role within a financial institution

  • Familiarity with Asia equity and/or derivatives markets and a solid understanding of market microstructure

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to navigate both technical and non-technical discussions

  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to see projects through from idea to execution

  • Demonstrated interest in financial technology and electronic trading

  • Proficiency in tools like Excel or Python for data analysis; scripting experience to automate repetitive tasks is a plus

  • Comfortable working across multiple teams and managing dynamic priorities in a fast-paced environment
