Application Support Engineer
What We Are Looking For
- Preferably a degree-qualified professional with a major in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the financial industry, particularly across trading, market data, OMS, FIX protocol, and related systems.
- Understanding of financial markets, instruments, and market data across equities and derivatives is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage shifting priorities within a trading floor environment.
- High attention to detail, with a proactive mindset toward identifying and driving operational and technical improvements.
Desirable Skills
- Experience supporting a trading floor environment and working closely with traders.
- Experience working with market data systems.
- Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
- Scripting experience in Bash and Python. Additional experience with PowerShell, VBA, C#, or other programming languages is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of messaging middleware.
- Demonstrated drive for continuous problem-solving and process improvement.
