Senior Financial Accountant

On behalf of a fast-growing European fintech company, we are looking for a hands-on and proactive Senior Accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS and Dutch GAAP.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage general ledger activities, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and filings.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and financial reporting standards.
• Drive process improvements and automation within the finance function.
• Take ownership of accounting operations and contribute to strategic financial decisions
• Work cross-functionally with teams such as Legal, Operations, and Product to support business initiatives.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in accounting or a similar financial role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Dutch GAAP.
• Post-accountancy qualification preferred (e.g. ACCA, RA, CPA).
• Proven ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Experience in a fast-paced or scale-up environment is a plus.
• Fluent in English; Dutch is a bonus.
