Reinsurance Capital Management

Key Responsibilities:

• Capital Strategy & Planning

  • Lead the development and execution of the firm's capital management strategy, including capital allocation, optimization, and forecasting.
  • Evaluate capital efficiency across business units and recommend strategic initiatives to enhance return on capital.

• Reinsurance & Risk Transfer

  • Partner with reinsurance and risk teams to structure capital-efficient reinsurance programs (e.g., quota share, excess of loss, financial reinsurance).
  • Support the design and implementation of capital relief transactions including ModCo, funds withheld, and sidecar arrangements.

• Regulatory & Rating Agency Engagement

  • Ensure compliance with capital adequacy standards under Solvency II, NAIC, and other relevant frameworks.
  • Liaise with rating agencies to maintain or improve credit ratings through transparent capital strategy and reporting.

• Capital Markets & Treasury

  • Oversee capital raising initiatives including debt issuance, equity financing, and alternative capital solutions.
  • Monitor liquidity and funding needs, ensuring alignment with strategic and operational goals.

• Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Lead capital stress testing, scenario analysis, and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to executive leadership on capital trends and emerging risks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in capital management, reinsurance, or financial strategy within insurance or reinsurance sectors.
• Deep understanding of capital markets, reinsurance structures, and regulatory capital frameworks.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across functions.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication abilities.
