Natural Gas Originator - Mid Con / MW

My client a leading midstream energy company is seeking a seasoned Senior Originator to drive natural gas origination efforts across the Midwest, Midcontinent, and Southern U.S. regions. This Houston-based role will focus on identifying, structuring, and executing commercial opportunities involving pipeline transportation, storage, and supply solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate and develop new natural gas commercial opportunities across the Midwest, Midcontinent, and Southern markets.
• Build and maintain relationships with producers, utilities, industrials, and marketers in the target regions.
• Structure and negotiate long-term transportation, supply, and storage agreements.
• Collaborate with pipeline operations, engineering, and legal teams to ensure successful deal execution.
• Monitor regional market trends, regulatory developments, and competitive activity.
• Represent the company at industry events and conferences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in natural gas origination, with a strong focus on pipeline commercial operations.
• Deep understanding of regional market dynamics across the Midwest, Midcontinent, and Southern U.S.
• Proven track record in structuring and closing midstream deals.
• Strong network of industry contacts across producers, end-users, and trading desks.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
