About the Company

Our client is a global leader in algorithmic trading and market making, operating at the forefront of financial technology. With a strong presence across major financial markets, they combine advanced technology and quantitative expertise to provide liquidity and ensure efficient markets worldwide.

We are supporting their search for a Financial Controller to join their Amsterdam headquarters. This is a critical role where you will act as the financial backbone of the business and serve as a strategic partner to the Finance Director.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare financial reporting for multiple entities, including annual statutory reports.

Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for international entities.

Oversee intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and foreign currency translations.

Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Support cash management, liquidity planning, and FX exposure management.

Collaborate on day-to-day accounting activities and liaise with external auditors.

Drive standardization, harmonization, and automation of finance processes across subsidiaries.

Build strong relationships with stakeholders at various levels.

Your Profile

Academic degree in Economics, Finance, or equivalent, with 5+ years of relevant experience.

Professional accounting qualification (RA or equivalent).

Big Four audit background is a plus.

Proven experience in financial control within an international, multi-entity environment.

Strong knowledge of IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements.

Expertise in consolidation across multi-currency and multi-GAAP environments.

Highly analytical with a control mindset and ability to implement process improvements.
