About the Opportunity

On behalf of a rapidly expanding financial technology firm, we are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Finance Manager to lead the finance function for the Amsterdam office.

Role Overview

As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for setting up and managing accounting and financial reporting operations. You will work closely with the global finance team and executive leadership to ensure compliance, drive financial planning, and support the growth of the European business.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting, financial reporting, and compliance processes.
• Ensure adherence to Dutch GAAP, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with the U.S. headquarters to align financial policies and reporting standards.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Manage audits, tax filings, and statutory reporting.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in financial control, ideally within fintech, trading, or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven track record of setting up or scaling finance operations in a new market.
• Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are a plus.
