Job Description: Equity Analyst - Long/Short Global Fund

Coverage: Global Markets / Emerging Markets
Preferred Sector Expertise: TMT (Technology, Media & Telecom), AI, Semiconductors

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Equity Analyst to join our Long/Short Global Fund team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a passion for global markets, and experience in equity research. This role offers exposure to diverse geographies and sectors, with a particular emphasis on TMT, AI, and Semiconductor industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth fundamental research on global and emerging market equities.
• Develop and maintain financial models, perform valuation analysis, and identify investment opportunities.
• Generate actionable long and short investment ideas aligned with the fund's strategy.
• Monitor industry trends, macroeconomic developments, and company-specific news.
• Collaborate closely with portfolio managers to support investment decisions.
• Prepare clear, concise research reports and present findings to the investment team.

Qualifications

• Experience:
  • Prior buyside experience strongly preferred; sell-side experience with strong stock-picking track record will also be considered.
• Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related fields.
• Skills:
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Mandarin.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Sector Knowledge:
  • Deep understanding of TMT, AI, and Semiconductor sectors is a plus.
