Consumer Equity Analyst | Global Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund
A leading global hedge fund with over USD 25 billion in assets under management is seeking a Consumer Equity Analyst to join its Hong Kong office. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a seasoned Portfolio Manager and contribute to a dynamic, multi-regional investment strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct bottom-up fundamental research on the Consumer sector (Staples and Discretionary) across Pan-Asian markets
- Generate actionable investment ideas and present recommendations to the Portfolio Manager
- Monitor existing positions, and provide timely updates on relevant market trends and developments
- Collaborate and work closely with the Portfolio Manager in supporting portfolio constructions and risk management
- Maintaining a high level of market awareness and staying cognisant of macroeconomics trends
Candidate Profile:
- 3-8 years of relevant experience in equity research and investment analysis
- Preferably bringing buyside experience investing in public market equities, ideally from a L/S environment
- Strong analytical skills, with a solid understanding of fundamental investing
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with team when necessary
- Thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in Asian languages considered a plus
