China Equity Analyst

Selby Jennings has partnered with a Hong Kong based single CIO hedge fund in seeking for a China Equity Analyst to join their investment team. This hire will conduct fundamental research on the China equities market (including A-shares, H-shares, and ADRs) with a focus on Consumer, Software, and Internet sectors.

Role Description:

• Cover equities across Greater China A-/H-shares and ADRs, generating actionable investment ideas.
• Main coverage focus will be on the Consumer, Software, and Internet sectors.
• Engage is regular dialogue with management teams, sell-side analysts, and industry experts.
• Work closely with the investment team to support idea generation and portfolio construction.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in equity research or investment roles.
• Preference for candidates with buyside experience, ideally within a L/S environment.
• Must bring exposure in covering the Consumer, Software, and Internet sectors.
• Spoken and written fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) is strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
• Willingness to be based in Hong Kong.
